The best way to beat the blues, dog sit!

Last week was a rough one.  I was sick on Wednesday and that meant a sub.  I worried that the kids were not going to behave for the sub and not get any work accomplished.  However, I was wrong.  For the most part, they did very well.  However, they seemed to save it all up for me when I returned.  We had a really rough day on Thursday and again on Friday.  Needless to say I was exhausted when the weekend came.  I was asked to dog sit for another teacher here and it couldn't have come at a better time.  I enjoyed having a cute dog around to cheer me up.

Although I was reminded of my students.  Neqa (the dog I was watching) is a very active dog.  On one of the walks we were on she decided to grab something off the boardwalk.  She had it in her mouth and I told her to drop it.  She gave me that look. The look I get from my students when they aren't having it.  I tried to take it out of her mouth and she continued to give me that look.  We spent about two minutes, going back and forth.  She continuing to look at me like no way lady and me giving her my best you better give me that now looks.  Finally I was able to pry it out of her mouth and drop it down a crack in the boardwalk.  She looked up at me like how dare you do that.  It didn't matter, I thoroughly enjoyed her company.
