Icy waters

I thought I was going to be smart and take pictures of the slow progress of the river icing over.   It did not go as planned.

 Here is what it looked like a few days ago.

And the next day:

A few days later the river looks like this.  It floors me that people are walking across the river.  Of course, they are use to this.  I am going to wait a bit longer for that!
